Mary Demery

Mary has raised millions for non-profits around the world. She leads business development and finance at AE-RO Lab, driving growth and building strong partnerships. She focuses on creating a lean, scalable foundation that allows the engineering team to deliver world-class results for startups.

Akshay is an experienced engineering leader. Led technical teams at various energy startups as Director of Engineering and Principal Engineer. Master's, Mechanical Engineering.

Our Story

AE-RO Lab began as a startup with a clear vision: to create the engineering organization of the future, built to move as fast as the founders we serve.

Our founders had been working at multiple hard tech startups and kept seeing the same bottleneck: world-changing ideas stalled because the right technical engine wasn’t ready. Time would slip away, budgets balloon, and the product road-map got stuck. They asked: What if we built an engineering team that moved as fast as the founders we were serving?

So we assembled a hand-picked team of passionate engineers, each with startup scars, simulation chops (CAD, FEA, CFD) and prototyping grit. We said “no” to the ivory-tower model and “yes” to a high-velocity, purpose-driven approach.

Today, we partner with founders in the hard tech space from concept sketches to validated prototypes. Helping turn bold ideas into real-world solutions. We thrive on complex challenges, tight timelines and delivering the kind of precision usually reserved for large R&D labs.

Our goal remains simple yet bold: to be the most productive, most talented technical team that startups in hard tech can rely on to drive meaningful change.

We rigorously document every design process, calculation, and insight. We’ve built an AI-powered system to capture and organize this documentation, giving our clients full visibility into the engineering journey. like a digital brain of the team.
